Wireless Convergence is making a comeback!
Convergence fully realized will provide customers the features, functionality and
freedom they crave. When transparency is achieved by providers, customers will benefit
from a seamless experience enjoying video, voice, data and mobility.
Today, the combination of seamless mobility & transparency across various media
is the Holy Grail of the telecom industry. Wireline providers are direly trying
to recapture subscribers though bundling. Wireless service providers now see a potential
way to reduce capex & opex moreover creating economies of scale. Moreover, the
success of mobile wireless and the penetration of broadband access technologies
such as DSL and Cable Modem have stoked demand for bundled services. What's more,
the maturity of voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and the emergence of broadband
wireless technologies, such as Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Mobile-FI, Session Initiation Protocol
(SIP) and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) have finally provided the disruptive technologies
required to bring about full fixed mobile convergence.
How did we get to this point? What forces are bringing about this change? Learn
not merely what emerging technologies will make convergence a long-awaited reality
(beyond the alphabet soup of tech acronyms), but what adoption & start-up business
opportunities, challenges for the enterprise, application development, third-party
alliances and partnerships will emerge as a result. The answer to these priceless
questions and many more will be deliberated by our expert “wireless convergence”
panel – don’t miss it!
