Gaining Passion & Engagement From your Customers and Organization
Even in tough economic
times, it is still tough to retain key employees - never mind maximize their contributions
to the organization. They want to work for companies who's purpose is in alignment
with their own. Customers no longer just buy products - they purchase the experiences
from company's who engage with them and meet their both spoken and unspoken needs.
Research has shown that firms which are above the median in both customer & employee
engagement experience revenue growth at a ~4x greater rate than firms that are below
the median in both engagement dimensions.
This session will bring together business leaders who have realized that the path
to marketplace success is best undertaken when a firm's employees, its' customers
and other constituencies are all in alignment and fully engaged with the company's
and it's purpose.
What you will come away with:
-A better understanding of how to assess the level
of engagement your company has (or does not have) with it's employees and it's customers.
-An appreciation for the importance of understanding
what the purpose of your organization is, and how to convey that to your employees,
customers and other constituencies.
-Real-world examples of companies who have succeeded
by realizing successful engagement - and those who have failed by not.

Wing Lam
| Founder | Wahoo’s Fish Taco
Wing’s family moved from China to Brazil in 1958, where their
father opened one of the first Chinese restaurant. In 1975 , the family moved to
Orange County, California, where they opened the Shanghai Pine Garden restaurant
on Balboa Island. For fun, Wing and his brothers would travel across the Mexican
border in search of great surf. After a great day of riding fun waves, the brothers
would refuel on the freshly -prepared tacos available at most roadside stands found
in the Baja Peninsula. Then, in 1988, the brothers decided to import the fish taco
they craved to Orange County and give it a unique twist. They combined the freshest
ingredients with their Brazilian-family favorite recipes and a dash of Asian flare.
The combination of the ingredients created a surfer meal that made Wahoo's Fish
Taco a " must stop after a great surf session "
